Sarah Rice

Sarah Rice may have only started bike racing in June of 2011 but that has not held her back one bit. One of Sarah’s latest accomplishments is her 3rd place win at the Tour of Galena Omnium Women's Open. With her impressive cycling history, Sarah is more than prepared for the 2013 Nature Valley Grand Prix. She had 6 road cycling podiums as a Cat 4 in 2011. In 2012 she moved up to a Cat 3 where she took 3rd at The Tour of Galena Omnium. She grabbed a total of 7 road cycling podiums before upgrading to a Cat 2 in that same year. Not only does Sarah have an accomplished cycling record but she also has a successful professional background. She graduated with a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California-San Francisco and is now an Associate Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. It is clear that Sarah is a go-getter in life and on the race track.
