Superior Morgul Classic

Location Superior, CO
Dates May 18-20
Overview:

The Town of Superior is located in southeast Boulder County, Colorado. Named for its superior quality of coal in the late 1800s, Superior was a quiet ranching and farming community through much of the 1900s.

The Morgul Classic is a bike race with a storied history from the days of the Red Zinger, and The Coors Classic. The infamous climb called “The Wall” was featured in the Kevin Costner movie “American Flyers”. Flash forward to 2012…. The bikes are lighter, and made of carbon fiber, but the course is the same challenging ride from the days of old. The Wall isn’t any easier, and will test the mettle of all riders amateur through the pro’s!

The Morgul Classic has three days of racing beginning with Friday night’s time trial and team time trial. Saturday will see a crit course through the town of Superior, and Sunday will wrap up the weekend with the road race on the Famed Morgul Bismark Course!

Come and ride “The Wall”, and gain chance to be a part of the Nature Valley Pro Ride.
