Overview:

The Memorial Weekend Omnium consists of  three criteriums occuring in the Quad Cities area of Iowa and Illionois.

The races are:

The Snake Alley Criterium -  a midwest classic that take in the historic brick street named Snake Alley, dubbed "the crookedest street in the world."

The Melon City Criterium - 33 years of races have attracted Olympic riders, Pro men and women as well as top riders from across the country

The Quad City Criterium - the final race of the weekend is the oldest race in Illinois and the 4th oldest crit in the nation. 

This weekend of racing is looked forward to by regional and national racers alike every year.

The combination of fast paced criterium action and the difficult climb riders face at Snake Alley give potential Pro Riders a great preview of the action they will see a few short weeks later at the Nature Valley Grand Prix

Course Profile:
The Snake Alley Criterium is name after the lung-busting climb the riders tackle with each lap of the 15 block course. over the course of one block it has 5 switchbacks and an average gradient of 12.5%
The Melon City Criterium, held within historical Weed City Park, has a quick climb and descent in addition to a 120 degree turn just before a short sprint to the line.
The Quad Cities Criterium, held in the historic downtown business district, is a flat and very fast figure eight shaped ¾-mile loop with great spectator viewing where turns 1 and 5 intersect.
