Fayetteville Stage Race

Overview:
With a downtown that boasts over 340 structures on the National Register of Historic Places and numerous Texas Historic Markers, Fayetteville is recognized for both its architectural and historical significance.
 
In addition to its vibrant music scene, Fayetteville is also known for this bike race that regularly draws more racers that the town's population.
 
With three stages over two days, riders will have to measure their efforts to do well in the overall and gain chance to be a part of the Nature Valley Pro Ride.

History:

Heading into its 13th year, the Fayetteville Stage Race is an important stop on on the Texas Cup series of races.

The race has also featured strong performances from top riders like Tejay Van Garderen, Pat McCarty, Daniel Holloway, and 2010 Pro Rider Joseph Schmalz

Course Profile:
The stage 1 Road Race is on a 22 mile circuit with lots of rollers and some sprint points to make it interesting.
 
The Stage 2 Time Trial is the same day as the opening event and consists of a 6.6 mile loop that frequently gets hit by big winds
 
The stage 3 Road Race is on a similar circuit to day one but with a detour to allow residents to get to church
